AZIO ATOM Ambidextrous Gaming Mouse Review

Designed to be an option for both left and right-handed gamers, the AZIO ATOM is somewhat of an outlier in the gaming mouse arena. It doesn’t feature any of the sweeping contours found on many mice designed for right-handed users, and the customization options available are all found within the mouse itself, without the need for software. As the shape of the ATOM, the symmetrical layout really lends itself to being a good fit for both right and left-handed users, so we definitely have to give props to AZIO for thinking about the “southpaws”.

While the ATOM’s ambidextrous design might be a hit, we did find the limited DPI and lighting settings to be a bit of a miss. With no software application used to control the sensitivity or lighting, users are left with the factory options on the ATOM. And while this can be a nice feature for gamers on the go that might not want to worry about loading an application, it might not be a good fit for everyone. Thankfully, the method in which AZIO enabled the configuration options works quite nicely, and is very easy to adjust.
